What Your Donation Means to MAM
Many years ago, Roger Hoel asked one of his beloved teachers, Olaf Christiansen, then director of the St. Olaf Choir, what happened when all the talented musicians moved on from college to jobs often not related to music. Dr. Christiansen's response was to challenge Roger to start choirs and orchestras wherever he was and to encourage participation among communities. Roger took the challenge very seriously and 35 years later, we are proud to say that under his direction, the Music Association of Minnetonka is thought to be the largest community music association in the country.
MAM is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt non-profit organization so any donation, large or small, is tax deductible, and helps us continue to present free concerts a year throughout the Twin Cities. In addition, your contribution helps us:

Introduce young children to live classical music as our Symphony Orchestra presents their annual Young People's Concert

Teach children from the ages of 6-18 great choral music in a loving and kind environment and offer them the opporunity to be ambassadors to the world at international choral festivals

Invite anyone to join our Civic Orchestra and continue or restart their love of playing an instrument they learned many years ago

Introduce challenging choral music to our Sneior Chorale who perform as vital members of our community at senior residences

Provide a wide variety of music -- our Concert Band entertains audiences with enthusiastic "marching" music

Offer adult singers the opportunity to perform great choral works from composers such as Brahms, Burckner, Verdi, and Copland

We also invite you to consider donating to our endowment fund by purchasing a $500 "note" in our Build a Song campaign. The endowment fund is designed to guarantee the continuation of the MAM organization for generations to come. You can contribute as a family, group, or individual. Your donation will be recognized with a note and your name(s) displayed permanently in the Arts Center on 7 lobby. You may also want to consider donating to the endowment fund in honor or memory of a friend or loved oned.
